PROPERTY PLANNING GUIDE · OCTOBER 2026
Bring a clearer charging plan to the condo discussion.
Separate the technical questions from the association’s decisions before requesting an installer proposal.
Shared amenity or individual installation?
Clarify whether the proposal is for common-area chargers, individually assigned parking or an individual owner’s request. These situations involve different operational and approval questions. The association’s governing documents and applicable law need appropriate review; this guide does not determine owner rights or board obligations.
Who will own and operate the equipment?
Discuss who buys the chargers, pays for electricity, administers access, handles support and pays for repairs. If residents will pay to charge, ask the provider about ongoing network fees, account administration and the electricity-cost assumptions.
What must be decided before a quote?
Identify the authorized point of contact, parking areas under consideration, access restrictions and desired timeframe. Make the status of board or owner approval explicit. An installer should evaluate electrical feasibility before the association commits to a final scope.
How to compare proposals
Ask each contractor to state inclusions and exclusions: equipment, permits, utility work, electrical upgrades, trenching, restoration, accessibility, commissioning and maintenance. Compare the same scope rather than only the headline price.
Share information intentionally
Keep contact details and identifying documents out of public listings. Approve each installer recipient and provide detailed plans directly through an appropriate secure channel when needed. ParcelPlug EV does not provide association legal advice or electrical design.
Private property requests open after verified installer coverage is ready. No account will be required to submit.
